Welcome to Therapy Room LLC, a group of professionally licensed, compassionate, and competent clinicians. I am Cherise Collins Roman, Licensed Professional Counselor, Provisional Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and CEO of Therapy Room, LLC. We operate in (3) locations: Thibodaux, LA (Main Office), Franklin, LA (South office), and Jeanerette, LA (Southwest Office). Our fourth location will be in Donaldsonville, LA (Southeast) and is slated to open in the summer of 2025. I am Southwest Louisiana born and raised with a flare for enjoying all of our state's treasures, especially the family fun, food, dancing, and music. I am enjoying a 20+ year marriage and am rearing two daughters while nurturing our beloved pets. I am the youngest of a family of 5 children with parents who were married for 38 years. Family is the cornerstone to our clinical work. We place a high value on the family and believe that the type of parenting style you were reared under and the family of origin's structure, are the foundation to how you function in your adult roles as spouse/partner, parent, employee, and friend. The therapy room has been a difficult space for many to step into, especially while bringing your marital and couples issues, family problems, and individual concerns to a stranger. We plan to cultivate a rapport with you that takes us from "stranger" to Helper. We'd like to assist you with building a lifestyle and legacy you can become more proud of. We offer in-office and telehealth counseling sessions for individuals, premarital couples, married couples, and families, throughout Louisiana. At Therapy Room, we start with a discussion of our policies, listen to your concerns and needs, complete your mental health assessment and diagnosis, design a client-centered treatment plan, and finally, transition you into building rapport with one of our clinicians. We treat an array of conditions such as: Mood disorders, behavioral issues, personality disorders, serious mental illness, sexual dysfunctions, conflictual couples relationships, and parent-child relationship issues. We also specialize in working with individuals and couples who may experience male and female infertility, working with couples who are participating in fertility treatment, sexual and intimacy issues, family/marital separation, blended family issues, adoption, postpartum, and loss and prolonged grief. Our group of clinicians also counsel organizations through an Organization Psychology methodology. We assist small and large organizations with gaining skills to work in a lasting team-oriented manner, and empower the company to move from drifting to "Shifting" in it's field. We work from a group dynamics model of counseling to help improve the organization's best asset: The employee. We also offer Career Counseling to employees, managers, members, and owners. We work within the following frameworks: Child attachment theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and family relations theories, to name a few. Our clinicians have a vast knowledge of clinical experience and will work to serve your needs. If not, we offer referrals to other agencies or clinicians that can better serve you.
